Doug Beck
BA, CFP, CIM, FCSI
Having been in the financial services industry for over 2 decades,
I’ve learned a thing or two about being independent. Access Family Office
Corp. is proudly independent, offering professional, unbiased advice that is
shaping the industry and holding it to a new standard of creating and
preserving wealth. And while my office is physically located in Ancaster,
Ontario, I serve clients from across Canada and the US.
As a Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Advisor, I am held to the highest fiduciary standards on behalf of clients. I take great pride in crafting tailored portfolios commensurate with the specific risk required for each situation. Using the necessary skills and experience acquired over many years, I am able to sort through an endless array of options so that you can feel confident and informed about your financial decisions.
I’m a self-starter who likes to get things done. I used to think being a jack of all trades was a bad thing and always regretted not being amazing at anything, but what I’ve come to realize about this business, is that it requires a number of different skills to add value to client relationships. I enjoy collaborating with clients and professionals to bring solutions to the table that make sense. Many of the clients I work with are sophisticated and intelligent enough to manage their own finances, but having found success in their respective businesses and professions, see tremendous value in working with someone they can trust – a partner. Honesty, professionalism, and accessibility are the backbone of what I offer.
Outside of the office, family is at the heart of everything I do. Being the proud father of 3 active kids means I spend a great deal of time in hockey and lacrosse arenas, at dance recitals, and just hanging out. When I do find some spare time, being outdoors is by far my favourite place to be. Whether it’s running, biking, hiking, x-country skiing or golfing, being outside keeps me sane in a crazy world. I also love being part of a vibrant community and giving back to it. For several years now, my wife and I have helped organize the Dundas Terry Fox Run. It’s become a bit of a tradition in our home, and we feel very privileged to be a part of it.

Jonathan Mullett
Director of Risk Management
Since entering the financial services industry in 2002, I have been passionate about providing independent, client-centric advice, focused on insurance and estate planning. In previous roles I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best insurance minds in the industry, supporting them as they serve their clients and honing my skills. Aside from benefiting me, this ongoing commitment to personal development is an asset I bring to the boardroom and kitchen table alike, adding value to the lives of those I work with.
My experience as an insurance professional has taught me to hear conversations a little differently – not only gleaning the facts of every unique situation, but ensuring an intimate understanding of the emotional elements as well. This helps formulate effective solutions and guides an informed decision-making process. My expertise includes both corporate and personal insurance as well as estate planning.
When not at work, I stay plenty busy with family. My wife Michelle and I have 3 amazing little ones to share our lives with. Aside from taxiing them between swimming and skating lessons, we cherish time spent outside exploring the local conservation areas. There’s always lots on the go, but we love it. I enjoy mountain biking in all the great trails near our home and playing hockey with the guys in the winter.
Everything I do is guided by my personal mission statement which is to ‘consider others more significant than myself.’ Not always easy, but definitely rewarding.

Huge love for the outdoors; you’d find me hiking, golfing, at a cottage, swimming and paddle boarding, on any given weekend. I enjoy meeting new people every day. I feel like everyone has a unique story and experiences to share, and I am always honored when they share them with me.
My career in the investment industry started at Investors Group 20 years ago as my first job out of University. I also spent some time at full-service brokerage firm TD Waterhouse prior to honing my passion as a special events and fundraising specialist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and Hamilton Health Sciences Foundations. This was a very rewarding environment, which afforded me the opportunity to meet not only many incredible community leaders, but also the patients that benefitted from and were the source of inspiration for my work.
I have been back in the investment industry for over 7 years and am thrilled to be working at Access Private Wealth. I enjoy meeting our clients and prospects and thrive on creating an outstanding experience for every one of them. Access is a dealership that prides itself on being different. At Access Private Wealth we all share the passion to deliver an unparalleled client experience and I enjoy being a big part of that process.
